Northeast Indiana AIDS Walk

On September 10, 2006 Psi Chi participated in the 10th Annual Northeast AIDS Walk held at Lawton Park, downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Proceeds from the walk provide services to individuals of northeast Indiana who are infected with HIV and AIDS.  Its purpose is to also raise AIDS awareness in the community.  Jessie Todd, Psi Chi Vice President, individually raised the most money with $458.00 donated to the AIDS Task Force of Northeast Indiana.

Halloween at Science Central

Members dressed up in costume for Halloween at Science Central on October 29, 2006.  Members helped children learn about science through drawings and making dinosaur snacks.  In addition to learning, children also received candy from Psi Chi.

"Stuff the Semi" Food Drive

Psi Chi teamed up with IPFW Student Life to administer a food drive called "Stuff the Semi."  During homecoming week, November 14 - 16, 2006, a semi was located outside the Walb Student Union.  All food collected was sent to the Community Harvest Food Bank.  1,192 pounds of food was collected beating the previous year by 472 pounds.  In addition to food, other items were collected such as 40 boxes of clothing, personal hygiene products, toys, and nursery items.
